Neon open till 6am sign for late night KTV in Penang

Penang is not a big party city, but its KTV lounges keep going long after the hawker stalls close. This guide lists closing times and late extension deals for the 18+ lounges on our ktv penang list, as of October 2026. If a lounge lists no hours, call it before you set out.

Late night KTV Penang closing times

Few lounges in Penang run a website, so hours often travel by phone and word of mouth. The table gives each lounge's hours where we have them, plus its late-night extension deal. Where a lounge lists no hours, ask the venue when you book.

Note that Oriental opens at 4pm or 5pm, and closes at 1am from Sunday to Thursday. So save it for a Friday or Saturday if you want to sing past midnight. For the lounges with no hours in the table, ask the venue for its closing time and last check-in.

Which KTV in Penang is open until 6am?

Haoman (豪门KTV) is the clear answer. It opens from 4pm to 6am, seven days a week. It sits on the 4th floor of Prangin Mall, next to KOMTAR. The lounge has 13 private rooms, so expect bottles and a minimum spend rather than per-head prices.

Getting in late takes a little planning. Reviewers say the mall's main doors shut at night, so guests use the section B side or the loading-bay side. If you get lost, call the venue and ask which door is open.

Genesis in Pulau Tikus also runs very late. Its beer sets come with a free room extension from midnight to 3am, and paid hours after that. Likewise, Cloud 9 on the 1st floor of St Giles Wembley gives a free extension from 12am to 6am with its RM298 beer set. So both suit a group that plans to stay until dawn.

Late night KTV in Penang until 2am or 3am

If 2am or 3am is late enough, the choice is still small. The list below covers the lounges with set hours or late deals.

  • Oriental on Jalan Anson runs to 3am on Friday and Saturday. On other nights, it closes at about 1am.
  • V3 on Jalan Cantonment is a smaller lounge. Call +60 4-297 1608 to ask its closing time.
  • Tu Hao Lou on Lebuh Bishop sells extra time in three-hour blocks, from RM200 for the 12–3 slot.
  • One Club at Penang Times Square has no hours in our list, so ask the venue.

Family karaoke chains also exist in Penang. They welcome all ages and cost less, but this site covers 18+ lounges only. For each lounge area, see ktv george town penang and ktv pulau tikus.

What a late session costs

A late night at a KTV lounge in Penang costs more than an early one, because extra hours add up. Lounges usually set a minimum spend per room, often RM1,000 or more. Few of them publish a full price list, so ask about extra hours when you book.

Here are the figures we have. Ten people at Haoman spend about RM3,000, food included. At Genesis, paid extensions cost RM150 an hour from 3am to 6am and RM200 an hour after 6am. At Tu Hao Lou, the 3–6 block costs RM450. Bills usually add a 10% service charge and SST on top, unless the venue says the price is nett.

When you call, ask three things. First, how is extra time charged after midnight? Second, does a bottle package include a free extension? Third, what is the last check-in time? Our ktv penang price guide explains minimum spend in more detail.

Is any KTV in Penang open 24 hours?

The latest regular close on our list is Haoman at 6am. Cloud 9 and Genesis also take you to 6am with extensions, and Genesis charges RM200 an hour after that. So for late night KTV, Penang's practical limit is about 6am. If you want to stay later, ask the venue what an extra block costs.

Is KTV open on public holidays in Penang?

Usually, yes. In fact, the eve of a public holiday is often one of the busiest nights, because nobody has work the next day. So book early if you want a big room.

The big festivals are the exception. Some venues close or change hours around Chinese New Year or Hari Raya. So if you plan a holiday night out, confirm the hours and the price. For holiday dates, see the Penang state government site.

Getting home after midnight

Plan the trip home before a late night KTV session in Penang starts. The island has no rail line, so you have three options: drive, take a bus or book a car.

Bus

Rapid Penang buses serve the Komtar terminal, which is a short walk from Haoman and Cloud 9. But most routes wind down around midnight, so they rarely help after a late session. Check the last bus on the Rapid Penang website before you rely on one.

Grab

After midnight, Grab is the easy choice. Waits may be longer outside central George Town, so book a few minutes before you leave the room. Wait inside the venue until the car arrives, and check the plate before you get in.

Driving

If you drive, pick one person who stays sober all night. Mall car parks may have their own closing rules. For instance, Haoman sits in Prangin Mall and Genesis sits in 1-Stop Midlands, so ask the venue how late you can drive out.

Staying safe at a late night KTV in Penang

Late sessions are fun, but tired people make poor choices. So set a budget before you start, because bottle orders add up fast after 2am. Also, watch your drink and keep your group together when you leave.

Bring ID, since lounges are for adults only. And check the bill before you pay, because extra hours and late orders are easy to miss. Some lounges in Penang offer hostess service; ask the venue what applies and how it is charged. Our ktv first time tips cover the rest of the basics.

Before you go

When you call, ask for the last check-in time, not just the closing time. Some rooms stop new bookings an hour or two before close. Also ask whether the kitchen stays open, since food often stops before the singing does.
